All animals will be seen and treated in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1996 (Section 19) and the Veterinary Surgery Exemptions Order of 2015. This states that treatment provided by a veterinary physiotherapist must be done under referral from a veterinary surgeon. However, musculoskeletal maintenance with the owner's permission for a healthy animal does not require referral from a veterinary surgeon. Although, the animal must still be registered with a veterinary surgeon.
